His writer career begun as a Poetry Slam Artist in the late nineties and so he started in Poetry Slam competitions all over Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He was also twice nominated to start at the “International German Poetry Slam” later then he began to work for newspapers in Germany e.g. “Südwestpresse” and “Neu-Ulmer Zeitung”. During his study he worked for the vice chairman of the green party in Berlin and also for the press team of the German “Pirate Party”.
Why to photograph human behaviour? Simon believes that photographic images are more than just documentary; they can inform and lead to greater understanding of the world. Photographs can bring people to question what is happening around them and in distant lands, engendering interest in places, people and cultures.
